SOCIAL MEDIA MODERATION POLICY

The following Moderation Policy relates to Freemuse’s social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. By interacting with Freemuse’s social media channels, you accept the terms of this Policy.

 

Freemuse reserves the right to hide or delete any comments or content deemed to violate its Policy. In some cases, dependent on frequency, scale or content posted, we reserve the right to remove persons who commit human rights abuses from posting to our social media pages.

 

This Policy is enacted to ensure the free, peaceful, and secure expression of all within Freemuse’s constituencies. Content that violates the rights of fellow constituents will be immediately removed.

 

Content that breaches this Policy include:

  • Abusive or hurtful comments
  •  Comments and posts using hate speech (meaning any public speech that uses discriminatory language or encourages violence towards a person or a group based on who they are, in other words, based on their religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, descent, gender or other identity factors.)
  • Personal or organisational attacks, threats or defamatory comments
  • Harassment of others 
  • Content, comments or imagery that violates copyright, our Privacy Policy, or that may be confidential or otherwise legally protected

 All opinions expressed on Freemuse’s social media channels represent the individual commenters’ thoughts, not those of the organisation.
