BeirootBodies” is a nurturing and safe space for artists suffering from psychosomatic symptoms due to past traumas. The aim is to understand:

1- How their bodies absorbed these traumas

2- Ease resulting symptoms

3- Revive their desire to produce artwork

The workshop will integrate different physical theatre exercises including breathing, relaxation, creative movement, contact improvisation and writing. This project responds to cultural, psychosocial, and political challenges, and to a lesser degree to the impact of the economic situation. Artists will attend workshops, engage in physical theatre, vocal and dance exercises, to express themselves, receive psychosocial support through art and prepare and perform a final show.
