Kenya: Festival organisers pull artists off stage over performance

Lamu Cultural Festival organisers stopped the performance of Tanzanian music group Offside Trick for allegedly indecent and obscene dances.

On 19 November 2017, organizers of Lamu Cultural Festival in Lamu, Kenya were forced to stop the performance of Tanzanian music group Offside Trick for alleged indecent dances which offended religious leaders and some dignitaries in attendance, reported Kenya radio news source Baraka FM.

Organisers of the festival and community leaders eventually stopped the performance by disconnecting the musical instruments and physically pulling the artists from the stage.
