Foreign nationals who took part in the concert of internationally renowned Russian opera singer Lyubov Kazarnovskaya in the city of Hankendi (Stepanakert) in Nagorno-Karabakh on 2 September 2015 have been placed on the list of undesirable persons, head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev said.
In early July 2015, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry placed Lyubov Kazarnovskaya on a list of undesiderable persons. The Foreign Ministry banned Lyubov Kazarnovskaya because of her recent visit to Armenian-occupied Azerbaijani territories.
“It was a stupid decision”, Kazarnovskaya said. “I went to Nagorno-Karabakh on a cultural mission,” she explained. She also stated that she is happy to now keep company with Montserrat Caballe, who is also blacklisted.
